To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Haugar Art Museum has focused on young voices and creativity. In a collaborative project with the 10th grade at Teigar secondary school, I was invited in to work with the students for 5 weeks at Haugar’s own premises. Guiding the students in creative thinking and execution from idea to a finished exhibition. The exhibition explored affiliation, identity and society and could be seen at the museum’s first floor.
The project aimed to explore how close collaboration between students, teachers, artists and museums can create increased participation, motivation and understanding of artistic processes.

The title of the exhibition refered both to a chaotic group and a gathering meal of coastal culture. Exhibiting a “mølje” of professional artist the exhibition conveyed ceramics, painting, drawing, textile, performance and installation. From February until April 2024 I participated in the Artist in Residence program Project Network at Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Center. During this time period I met and worked with a multitude of artist from all over the world. Sharing experience, as well as exploring a variety of wood firing techniques the residency had to offer.
Project Network is Guldagergaard’s own invention and has been running for more than 20 years. The goal of Project Network is to create and promote dialogue and networking in the new generation of talented potters from around the world. The project supports international exchange as well as studies in the development of the ceramics of the future.
At the end of the program we had a collaborative exhibition at the centers own show space, The Apple House Gallery.
